Keep your Eyes Healthy with these 6 Methods

Eyes are the natures biggest gift for us. It will be very difficult to imagine our life without eyes. But people don’t seem to take much care of them. All of us use computers in our day to day life, TV and smartphones have made the scene even worse.

How to Keep Your Vision Fine and Eyes Healthy

Don’t take your vision for granted ,follow these steps to keep  your eyes in a better condition.

1.  Eat well 

Eat food rich in nutrients and vitamins. Eye health very much depends on nutrient content of your food , nutrients like zinc, vitamin C, vitamin A are very critical for your eyesight.

Get your plate full of :

  • Green leafy vegetables.
  • Oranges and citrus Fruits.
  • Fish

A well balanced diet is always good for our body as it helps in staying healthy , avoiding obesity and heart problems.

2. Quit Smoking 

Smoking is believed to increase the chances of a person having cataract . Apart from cataract , it may also damage optic nerve and Macular degeneration .

3. Wear Sunglasses 

We all have seen aviators wear those cool sunglasses . Most of us believe it is a style statement but no it is for protection of their eyes form UV radiations . UV radiations can be very harmful to your eyes , they boost the chances of cataract.

4. Look away from the Computer Screen

Staring at the computer screen for too long can cause :

  • Blurry Vision
  • Eyes Strain
  • Dry Eyes
  • Neck , Shoulder and back Pain

After every 5-10 mins look away from the screen and try to focus on distant objects. Sit straight on a comfortable and supportive chair.

5. Visit Your Doctor Regularly 

Most of us have a tendency to visit doctors after the things have gone wrong. Don’t wait for things to go wrong , keep a check on your vision regularly.

6. Eye Exercises 

Exercise your eye daily , on a regular basis.
